Craig M. Peters is a trial attorney. For the first decade and a half of his legal career, he was a public defender providing criminal defense on cases involving allegations of drug sales and DUI’s to murder, sexual assaults and gang affiliations. Following a midlife crisis, he took a break from criminal defense and defense and began litigating complex cases. Craig’s caseload is caseload is comprised primarily of wrongful death cases as well as those resulting in catastrophic life-or career -changing injuries. Now, almost another decade and half later, Craig finds himself handling a wide range of negligence cases, from product liability to medical malpractice, as well as consumer class actions. Often asked to join forces with others to help with or handle the trial, Craig has been recognized for his trial skills through invitations to membership in the American Board of Trial Attorneys (ABOTA), the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL), the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), and the International Society of Barristers (ISOB). Craig was named California Consumer Attorney of the Year and is a four time finalist for the SFTLA Trial Lawyer of the Year, a finalist for Marin County Trial Lawyer of the Year and a two-time finalist for the CAOC’s California Consumer Attorney of the Year.
