John F. Romano is board certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by both the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is board certified by ABPLA (American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys) in Civil Trial and Medical Malpractice. He is a former president of the Academy of Trial Lawyers (now Florida Justice Association); National Trial Lawyers; Southern Trial Lawyers Association and the Melvin M. Belli Society.
He previously served as co-chair of the ATLA (now AAJ) National College of Advocacy and is Chair of the ATLA Criminal Law section and the Military/Governmental Law section. John Romano is the author of three books: Strategic Use of Circumstantial Evidence; The Deposition Field Manual and Opening Statements. Additionally, he is the editor of AAJ’s Fourth Edition of the two-volume set, Anatomy of the Personal Injury Lawsuit. In 2016, John Romano was inducted into the Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame. John has gone to verdict in virtually every type of personal injury/wrongful death case including product liability, medical malpractice, defamation of character, premises liability, trucking, auto, motorcycle, and more. John previously served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. John is a partner in Romano Law Group in West Palm Beach, Florida. He and his wife, Nancy, have been married fifty-one years and they have four sons and eleven grandchildren.
