Lauren Horwitz is a trial attorney at BD&J in its wrongful death and catastrophic injury practice group. She has recovered over $100 million on behalf of her clients to date. Lauren represents plaintiffs in state and federal court. In addition to advocating for individual plaintiffs, she has experience litigating mass torts and class actions. She also handles bad faith insurance litigation and has argued before the California Court of Appeal. She is a member of the CAALA Board of Governors and is currently serving as the Vice-Chair of the Membership Committee. Lauren is a three-time Finalist for CAALA’s Rising Star Awards, and she was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2016 – 2019.
Lauren earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2010. While a student at Loyola Law School, she was the Chief Note and Comment Editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review. She also externed for the Honorable Richard L. Fruin of the Los Angeles Superior Court in 2010. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Arizona in 2006.
Lauren is admitted to practice in all California state courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California.
