Rachel Lanier is passionate about representing injured clients and their families in the areas of  toxic torts, pharmaceutical litigation, mass torts, and product liability. 

In 2017, Ms. Lanier served on the Lanier Law Firm’s trial team in the Pinnacle hip implant litigation  against DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. which led to a $247 million dollar verdict in favor of plaintiffs. In  2018, Ms. Lanier was on the trial team in St. Louis, Missouri representing twenty-two plaintiffs in  the Talcum Powder litigation against Johnson & Johnson, and was instrumental in obtaining the  $4.7 billion dollar verdict for the plaintiffs. From 2019 to present, Ms. Lanier has served on the  Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee for the 3M Combat Earplug Multi-District Litigation and as Chair of  the Early Vetting Subcommittee. She also serves on the Civil Plaintiff Executive Committee for  the National Trial Lawyers Civil Plaintiff Top 40 Under 40, and is a co-chair of the AAJ 3M Combat  Earplugs Litigation Group. 

Ms. Lanier received recognition as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2017-2021, New York Rising Star in 2018-2020, and Outstanding Young Women Lawyers for the New York Metro Area in 2019.  Ms. Lanier also received recognition as a National Trial Lawyers’ Civil Plaintiff Top 40 Under 40  Lawyer and was selected for national membership into the American Trial Academy: Top Tier  Lawyers 2020. In 2021, Ms. Lanier was honored to be selected as one of U.S. News and World  Report’s Best Lawyers in America. 

She is a member of the American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, New Jersey  and New York Bar Associations, and Super Lawyers. She is further an accredited attorney for the  preparation, presentation, and prosecution of claims for veterans’ benefits before the  Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Ms. Lanier is a native Houstonian who received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor  in Religion from Pepperdine University in California. She then pursued a law degree from St.  John’s University School of Law in New York, where she served as a legal advocate for domestic  abuse victims through the Domestic Violence Litigation Clinic. Ms. Lanier is admitted to practice  law in New York, New Jersey, and pending admission in California. She lives in Los Angeles and  enjoys painting, playing the ukulele, and spending time with family and friends.
