Dr. Sherry Kinnaird is a double board-certified, Harvard-trained interventional pain management physician and anesthesiologist. She embraces her patients’ broad range of medical issues and is committed to ensuring each patient receives customized treatments focusing on interventional and multimodal approach.
Dr. Kinnaird graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine with honors before completing her anesthesiology residency at Harvard Medical School’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Following residency, Dr. Kinnaird completed fellowship in interventional pain medicine also at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, which is ranked as the #1 pain medicine fellowship by the American Association of Pain Medicine.
She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of conditions, including headache/migraine pain, knee/hip/shoulder/joint pain, neck/back/spine pain, failed back surgery syndrome, chronic back pain from spine injuries, and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) of the upper and lower extremities due to personal injuries.
Dr. Kinnaird is recognized as one of the leading specialists in management of chronic pain using image-guided minimally invasive procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of pain. She performs epidurals, facet joint injections, medial branch blocks and radiofrequency ablations in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. She is also a leading expert in the treatment of CRPS with sympathetic nerve blocks, and spinal cord stimulators and peripheral neurostimulation.
She has affiliations and privileges with Scripps Mercy Hospital and Sharp Coronado Hospital. She also speaks fluent Mandarin and Shanghainese.
